Law firms and corporations typically turn to legal recruiters when they haven’t been able to fill a lateral position through normal hiring channels. We assist our clients by prescreening candidates according to the criteria provided, by seeking out candidates to whom our clients would normally not have access, by providing information to candidates promoting the firm or corporation, and by diffusing incorrect and potentially damaging information about the client. The best candidates are often not in the job market, as they are doing extremely well where they are. By relying on old-fashioned “headhunting,” we can often present an exciting opportunity to a candidate, even if the candidate was not previously looking.
Once we have identified a candidate that appears to meet the client’s requirements, we will send a detailed letter, emphasizing the candidate’s accomplishments and explaining why the candidate is interested in the position. If an interview is desired, we will help facilitate the arrangements of the interview. Following the interview, we provide valuable feedback between the client and the candidate. If an offer is made, we are happy to assist in negotiating the terms of the offer.
